B. Doe reported spotting
Elvis on the Deutscheplatz
near the Arch of
Fierflugen in Berlin on
July 11, 1991. Doe was
among a group of summer
backpackers sampling
Europe's splendors,
cuisine and pests when
they stopped at the platz
to discuss their next
destination. While several
members of the group
examined leaflets from
restaurants in the
immediate area, Doe and
fellow backpacker, Ryan
Got, saw Elvis talking to
the driver of a
horse-drawn carriage at
the far side of the platz. |

this photo, you can see
Elvis at the left in the
distance. "Some
members of the group
wanted to rush over to
Elvis right then,"
said Doe, "but most
of our group didn't want
to, out of respect for
Elvis and our strong
desire to eat lunch
and get beer. We had only
a stale croissant for
breakfast that day and we
were hurting to get to Der
Grosse Schwein for
lunch." Got said,
"I could have gone
either way, but the
majority ruled." |

Oscar
J. Peterson, an insurance
salesman from Morton,
Ohio, reported he saw
Elvis relieving himself at
a urinal in the men's room
at Fuddrucker's in Coconut
Grove. Peterson said he
was at the next urinal and
looked over and saw Elvis.
"I couldn't believe
it. I said, you're Elvis,
and he said, 'No, Ted
Kennedy,' but I
know he was kidding He
washed up and left before
I had even flushed."
Peterson's affidavit was
corroborated by Tyler
D'laniel, who was in a
stall in the men's room at
the time of this sighting.
He said the words,
"No, Ted
Kennedy" sounded
exactly like Elvis' voice
when he sang the song
"Trouble" in the
movie King Creole. The
picture above is believed
to be that of Peterson
outside the restaurant. |

Baleva
Sacessfa of San Clemente,
California, reported seeing Elvis
at this sidewalk café on March
13, 2001. Sacessfa said she was
driving past the café, taking her
cousin, Honey Rivera, for her
colonoscopic exam when she spotted
Elvis sitting at the table at the
far left rear in this picture. She
slowed the car and her cousin also
got a look at Elvis. Sacessfa and
Rivera said Elvis
was eating something that looked
fried and did not look up as they
drove past. At the next
intersection, Sacessfa circled the
block to come back by the café on
the side of the street where Elvis
was, but when she drove by in that
direction, he was no longer at the
table. After Rivera's medical
treatment, the pair returned to
the café, parked and asked
several people who were at tables
there if they had seen Elvis.
Three of the diners said they had
not been there during the earlier
period. Two other diners said they
were there then, but one said he
barely noticed the man sitting at
the table in the far left corner
and the other said she noticed the
man eating what
appeared to be a large helping of
crispy bacon and a sliced banana.
She said she was so occupied with
the contents of the plate that she
didn't really glance at the man's
face, which she remembers only as
being a little pasty. Traci
Martoon, the waitress who serviced
the table where Elvis sat said,
"The customer said he was
Elvis, but I thought he was
joking. He didn't look like Elvis.
There was something about his
hair." Martoon said the man
paid cash and left a nice tip. |

S. Duepre, a former
railroad track walker, was
looking for root berries
in a field outside the
town of Midlothian when he
spied a man he was certain
was Elvis stepping into an
abandoned old schoolhouse.
"I know it was him,
because he had a cape on
and white satin pants with
bell bottoms and lots of
them spangle things that
catch the sun and glitter
sewed onto them
pants," said Duepre.
When he approached the
building Duepre said he
heard "a voice
humming the strains of
that Hunka Hunka Love
song. There was no
mistaking that voice. It
was Elvis's sound. I went
in the door real fast and
surprised Elvis. He said
he had just gone in there
to find some momentary
relief and asked me to
respect his privacy. I
told him I surely would
because I truly had
respect for him and his
kind. He said he
appreciated that and to
thank me I could pick up a
new Cadillac automobile at
the Midlothian dealership,
which I did the next day
and put 214,000
miles on it before it quit
on me. |
